One filed page per calendar month, written when the month closed and never recomputed. The rhythm a household picks in Settings does not change the unit of record: the Archive files calendar months, always, so this year stays comparable with last year.

The drawing has one word for three different facts. Its resolver calls every cell that is neither a page nor the running month none, and says “nothing on file there — August 2025 is the household’s first month” about a month before that first one (true), a month that has not happened yet (false — and it is nine of the twelve cells right now), and a month that ended and was never filed (false in the way that matters). Turn on nothing on file and December is the fourth state.
